Update: Another version with white backgrounds (better for printing on colored paper) is also available for download. A more detailed process, with many more options to fashion. The following process is a simplified version, designed to get you up and running as quickly as possible. Creating your investigator is a series of steps, which are described below. And yeah, going the actual size of a travel passport would have been an option, but I wanted to save paper (did not have a printer available so I had to print it in a copy shop). To play Call of Cthulhu you need to create an investigator character.
If printed (two-sided, long-edge binding) on stronger paper, it makes a nice (if small) passport. So, here’s the document to download (should be the right one) - for inspiration.
And there are other games that are also fun to play. I love role playing games, but damn, they are time-sinks. Create a new character and choose Call of Cthulhu as the RPG system. Not the fault of the character sheet, but of my available time. It turned out quite well, even if it only got used in one session (so far). For example, the strength of an average human being is 50. For most of these characteristics, 50 is considered an average score. Additionally the character will also have a Luck score. Given it’s setting, I thought turning it into a (travel) passport like document would be fitting. In Call of Cthulhu your character has 8 characteristics: Strength, Constitution, Size, Dexterity, Appearance, Intelligence, Power, Education. Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.Ī while ago I did create a character sheet for the role playing game “Call of Cthulhu” (see here and here). Armed with a copy of the Call of Cthulhu Keepers Rulebook, a pencil, and some roleplaying dice you are all set for the twists and turns of this epic world spanning adventure.
